Lockton Re has hired Willis Towers Watson director Kazimierz Layton, who joins its specialty division – headed up by Paul Upton – as the broker continues to build its financial risk treaty reinsurance proposition.

Layton has more than 15 years’ experience in the political risk and credit insurance broking space, and was most recently an executive director at Willis, having begun his career in Aon’s crisis management team, before joining JLT.
