Hiscox pays £18.8mn to Covid BI claimants: Report

Hiscox has paid out £18.8mn ($25mn) to customers who have lodged claims for BI in relation to Covid-19, according to a report.

The Times reported that the insurer – which became a lightning rod for the issue of pandemic-related BI losses – has settled 384 such claims, with an average payout of £49,000 each.
