White Mountains has agreed with portfolio company Ark Insurance Holdings to push back the timeline for the specialty insurer to call on an extra $200mn investment from the Bermudian group from 30 June to 16 August.

The extra investment would increase Ark’s capitalisation from $800mn to $1bn and raise White Mountains’ stake in the business from 72% to 77%.
