Specialty (re)insurer Canopius Group has become the latest large Lloyd’s player to double down on algorithms with the launch its Vave vehicle as an MGA.

Before becoming an MGA, Vave was developed as an underwriting division within Canopius Managing Agents.

It is the product of around three years' in-house development and has quoted on more than 1.2
