Lloyd’s America primed for zero-collateral reinsurance regime from October 2022

Lloyd’s America will apply for regulatory approval for the market to benefit from the zero-collateral regime introduced by the US-UK covered agreement from 1 October 2022, the Corporation said in a market bulletin.

Lloyd’s expects its US operation to have “reciprocal reinsurer status” from that date, with the covered agreement having taken effect on 22 September 2022.
