Canopius’ former renewable energy team has launched a renewable-energy MGA, Praeventus, with capacity provided by Berkley Offshore and Munich Re Syndicate, among others.

The MGA, which will start underwriting in June, is led by Maarten Mulder, who was head of renewable energy at Canopius for around six years.
