Sprout.ai, a start-up that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help insurers settle claims, has raised £8m ($11m) in funding, led by Octopus Ventures.

Existing investors, including Amadeus Capital Partners, Playfair Capital and Techstars, all participated in the Series A round.

Sprout.ai said today the business was with working with clients including Zurich to speed up claim paying.
