Germany-based carrier Talanx is to cease insuring oil and tar sands by 2038 as part of an overall bid to "systematically” increase its sustainability targets.

In its sixth sustainability report, it said it was also aiming to make its entire global operations climate neutral by 2030 and would reduce the carbon intensity of its liquid investment portfolio by 30% by 2025.
