Berkley Re has appointed SiriusPoint’s Clare Himmer as UK president as of 1 September, as a first step in a succession plan for current CEO Richard Fothergill.

Parent company WR Berkley said Fothergill will continue as CEO at present with the expectation that Himmer will be appointed CEO by the end of 2021, at which point Fothergill will become chairman.
