Legacy specialist Compre has appointed former PartnerRe CEO Emmanuel Clarke as chair of its board as its takeover by Cinven and British Columbia Investment (BCI) closes.

The investors struck the deal to acquire the carrier from private equity firm CBPE in November last year, and have now fulfilled all regulatory requirements.
