Axa UK & Ireland has appointed Emily Coupland as its new general counsel, succeeding Edward Davis, who is retiring after 27 years at the business.

The move marks a return to Axa UK & Ireland for Coupland, who spent 15 years at the firm, including 11 years as general counsel for the life and wealth business and deputy head of legal.
