Arch rules out insuring contentious Adani Carmichael coal mine

Bermuda-based Arch has become the latest insurer to rule itself out of insuring the Adani Carmichael coal mine in Australia.

In a one-line statement yesterday, Arch said: “On behalf of its underwriting operations, Arch Capital Group Ltd. confirms that it has not and will not issue any insurance policies covering the Adani Carmichael coal mine.”
