Africa Specialty Risks (ASR) has hired James Cronje from Axa XL as head of construction underwriting as it launches the line of business.

Cronje has been construction underwriting manager for Axa XL UK and Ireland for just over two years and was previously underwriting manager at Axa Africa Specialty Risks for just under two years.
