Covea has reported group net profit for 2020 of EUR415mn ($497mn), less than half that of 2019, as it grappled with the cost of Covid-19.

The French mutual, which is engaged in a long-running legal dispute with former acquisition target Scor, said earned premiums fell 4.5%
