The average underlying return on equity (RoE) for global reinsurers fell from 8.4% to 4.8% as running investment yields plummeted during 2020, according to Willis Re.

In its 2020 Reinsurance Market Report, the intermediary said the average reported RoE fell from 9.7% in 2019 to 2.7%
