Reinsurance trading platform Tremor has tapped former PartnerRe CEO Emmanuel Clarke as its newest board member, it said on Thursday morning, in addition to announcing it had doubled its client base in Q1.

Clarke led PartnerRe as CEO from 2016 until July 2020, when Jacques Bonneau took over his role, after a tumultuous six months in which the Exor-owned reinsurer accepted a $9bn takeover bid from Covea that fell apart in May.
