Economic uncertainty, continuing lockdowns and Brexit have prompted AM Best to maintain its negative outlook for the UK non-life insurance sector.

The ratings agency said that economic uncertainty was the “key headwind” for the UK, as the country grappled with the largest economic contraction since records began.
