Chaucer Syndicate 1084 reported a loss of $11mn for 2020 as catastrophes and Covid-19 pushed the combined ratio up to 104.5%.

The result was a sharp deterioration from the prior year, when the syndicate made a $101.5mn profit and reported a combined ratio of 92.5%.
