AM Best has given a financial strength rating (FSR) of A and long-term issuer credit rating of “a+” to Cedar Hamilton, a subsidiary of Nuclear Electric Insurance Limited (NEIL), based in Bermuda, that will write US excess and surplus (E&S) business.

The outlook for the Cedar Hamilton rating is stable, and the ratings agency has also affirmed an FSR of A and long-term ICR of “a+” for NEIL.
