Allianz has agreed to buy Aviva’s life and non-life Polish insurance operations, as well as its pension and asset management business in the country, for EUR2.5bn ($2.95bn).

As part of the deal, Allianz will also acquire 51% of Aviva’s two bancassurance joint ventures with Santander in Poland.
