Pandemic risk, being geographically diffuse and open ended, fails to meet the conditions of insurability, Scor chairman and CEO Denis Kessler has said.

At a Marsh/Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development conference session addressing the protection gap for pandemic risk, Kessler said Scor had excluded infectious diseases from 1 January to avoid a “worst of the worst” scenario of coverage ambiguity.
