BC Partners takes majority stake in Davies

Private equity firm BC Partners has agreed to acquire a majority stake in fast-growing insurance services provider Davies Group, with existing investors HGGC and Alberta Investment Management Corp (Aimco) retaining minority stakes.

Terms of the transaction were undisclosed, but Bloomberg had previously reported that the deal valued Davies at £1.2bn ($1.7bn).
