Axa has terminated its relationship with German energy giant RWE over concerns its client was not moving quickly enough to reduce its carbon footprint, according to a report.

Bloomberg reported on Friday that, despite an appeal from RWE CEO Rolf Martin Schmitz, Axa remained convinced the energy company’s coal operations were too large.
