Report: Hiscox admits to BI errors as ‘zero’ payout rises to £75,000

Hiscox has stated that it made errors in the calculation of preliminary offers on pandemic BI payouts sent to customers in recent days, raising the prospect of upwards revisions when it adjusts the offers.

The Sunday Times reported that Brighton escape room business owner Phil Harris expected a payout from Hiscox following the January Supreme Court judgment on Covid-19 losses, only to be told in a letter that he was entitled to nothing.
