Fetooh Al Zayani, the former managing director of insurance and reinsurance at Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), has joined risk and insurance advisory group Kane.
Al Zayani will take up the post of senior regional advisor for the Middle East, where she will work with practice leaders in the region both to improve the company's service provision and to widen its client base.
Prior to joining Kane, Al Zayani worked in a range of marketing, underwriting and senior management roles in the Middle East market.
Her most recent role in a career stretching back more than 30 years was as MD of QFC, where she helped to develop the Qatar Finance and Business Academy.
The appointment of Al Zayani is the latest in a series of senior hires made by Kane in the last 12 months.
These include recruiting former Marsh executives Toby Foster as COO; Edward Garrett as head of group strategy and business development; and Dr Naeema Aziz as practice leader for healthcare consulting.
