Deutsche Bank hires ILS director
Deutsche Bank Asset & Wealth Management has added to its new ILS team with former Lockton Re broker Adam Sayers.
Sayers had been with Lockton since 2008 as the firm's head of US reinsurance, and had previously worked at rival London broker Integro as a senior broker.
As director of ILS, he will be reporting to Michael Amori in London, where the bank's asset management arm is preparing to launch an ILS fund management operation.
The division is led by Amori, who previously worked in the bank's longevity markets group. It also includes Onur Uncu.
It is believed that the fund already has $100mn of seed capital committed, although it is not known whether this is proprietary Deutsche Bank capital or if it has been sourced from the bank's asset management clients, sister title Trading Risk reported in June.
