MMC leads growth


Shares in (re)insurance brokers continued to climb last week as investor confidence was boosted by the sector's broadly solid organic growth figures for the third quarter.

Last week it was Marsh & McLennan Companies' turn to lead the charge, with its share price increasing 2.45 percent. AJ Gallagher was close behind, as its shares ended the week 2.13 percent higher.

Aon also experienced a modest uplift of just over 1 percent last week, increasing its lead to 46.7 percent on a year-to-date basis.

Meanwhile, London-based broker JLT's shares declined by 1.36 percent last week, taking its year-to-date change to 28.4 percent.
