Lee to join Lockton after leaving Aon

Jeremy Lee is set to join Lockton after resigning from Aon last month, Trading Risk understands.

He had been connected to a possible move to BMS, which is looking to expand in the retro segment, however, Lee will instead join a group of former Aon executives at rival broker Lockton Re.

Lee will join Lockton’s global retro and London market property team sometime next year after his gardening leave, sources suggested.

He has several decades of reinsurance broking experience and has worked at Aon Benfield since 1996, initially as a director before being promoted to a managing director in 2007.

Prior to that, he spent around 17 years as a managing director at Guy Carpenter.

Other senior Aon brokers have left the firm in recent weeks, with many of them, including Bob Bisset, being linked to or formally having joined Lockton.

Separately, Aon broker Joe Jackson was confirmed to have joined TigerRisk Partners’ North America team earlier this month, shortly after Oliver Denbigh moved from Aon to that same firm.

Lockton declined to comment.
