Third Point Re director and incoming CEO of SiriusPoint Sid Sankaran has said he didn’t take the job to be  a “hedge fund reinsurance CEO”, providing the clearest indication yet that the combined business will be more of a traditional (re)insurance outfit than a total return carrier.
