AM Best downgrades Protective from A+ to A

AM Best downgraded the financial strength rating (FSR) of Protective Insurance to A from A+. 

The ratings agency also downgraded Carmel, Indiana-based Protective’s long-term issuer credit ratings, with all ratings retaining a negative outlook.
