Chubb expects $225mn in pre-tax losses from the recent California wildfires, net of reinsurance, the (re)insurer announced Monday. 

The firm also noted its previously reported estimates of $150mn to $250mn in pre-tax losses from Hurricane Michael are at the higher end of the range.
