US hemp farmers given access to crop insurance

A US bill expanding the federal crop insurance program to hemp farmers was signed into law by President Trump.  

 

The Farm Bill, a wide-ranging 10-year spending package totalling $867bn, included funding to continue the crop insurance program, under which farmers can receive subsidised coverage.
