Axa XL has promoted energy class underwriter Steven Farr to global head of upstream energy.  

Farr moves into the role left vacant by Steve Hawkins, who was one of several high-profile underwriters to join Stephen Catlin and Paul Brand’s start-up (re)insurer Convex.
