Munich Re Syndicate will reportedly cease insurance coverage of the contentious Nord Stream 2 pipeline from Russia to Europe due to impending US sanctions.

It is the latest insurer to pull back from the project following Zurich Insurance’s decision to drop out last month, Reuters reported.
