Adam McNestrie
Adam McNestrie is a journalist with 16 years’ experience covering the P&C market. He led Insurance Insider from 2016 onwards, and was the co-founder of Insurance Insider US in 2019. In late 2022, he handed over all leadership responsibilities and became Editor-at-Large of Insurance Insider and Insurance Insider US, refocusing 100% of his attention on reporting.
Based out of London, he nevertheless spends a significant amount of time with a network of US sources, covering the world’s largest insurance market.
Areas of interest in the US include the specialty/E&S markets, the large public brokers, the private levered brokers, and M&A across the insurance value chain.
Beyond the US, he continues to cover the Lloyd’s market, large London market brokers, and M&A. He also retains a residual interest in the aviation market.
As well as breaking news he writes long-form commentary, and is focused on understanding company strategy at key companies, and the CEO perspective more generally.

Fiona Robertson edits Insurance Insider and is editor-in-chief of Insurance Insider ILS. She covers global reinsurance, ILS and London market news, and oversees production of our morning Insurance Insider Daily emails.

Meg Green
Meg Green is the senior editor, multimedia, for Insurance Insider. She’s covered the property and casualty insurance industry for more than two decades, focusing on producing video interviews and panel discussions with senior executives for the last 12 years.
She joined Insurance Insider in 2021 after 20+ years as a journalist in the news division at AM Best. A pioneer among insurance journalists, Meg was one of the first to harness the power of multimedia and has produced thousands of video interviews with top insurance leaders from around the world. Meg is also a classically trained flutist and musician who and enjoys teaching yoga and meditation.

Ben Wylie
Ben Wylie is Insurance Insider's Lead Data Journalist. He joined the team in London in July 2021, after working for five years as a chartered accountant.
Ben provides data and graphics support to the editorial teams in the UK and the US, produces written analysis of the financial performance of Lloyd's and the London market and is responsible for the data tools – such as the Talent Tracker – available to subscribers on the Insurance Insider website.

Kyoung-son Song
Kyoung-son Song covers reinsurance, commercial property and general liability insurance for Insurance Insider US, based in New York City. She joined the team as senior reporter in June 2022 and had her “baptism of fire” in the insurance world covering the landfall and after-effect of Hurricane Ian three months later.
Born and raised in Seoul, Kyoung-son started her career covering Korean manufacturing and IT companies such as Samsung, LG and Hyundai for an English-language media outlet. She graduated Columbia Journalism School in May 2022 with a Master of Arts degree.

Hal Stucker
Hal Stucker got his start in journalism as a photographer, with his photos appearing in The New York Daily News, The New York Times and Smithsonian Magazine, among others. As a reporter, he first covered technology and the Internet, then switched to insurance, reporting for National Underwriter in the late 90s.
He spent 15 years at online news services Mergermarket and Debtwire, first covering banking and insurance M&A as a reporter, and later serving as chief content editor for the Americas. At Insurance Insider US, he’s currently news desk editor, writing, assigning and editing breaking news stories covering the insurance industry and related matters.
He’s also written extensively on subjects not related to insurance, previously producing feature stories on professional photography for PDN, as well as a monthly column on digital imaging and retouching. His essay “Strapped – My Eight Years With a Gun” appeared in Boston Review and was tapped for inclusion in Best American Essays 2014.

Sanvi Bangalore is a reporter with Insurance Insider US covering the E&S market, MGAs and wholesale brokers and distribution.
She previously covered the labor market for The Wall Street Journal and general business topics with CBS MoneyWatch. Bangalore also has TV news experience – she has appeared on CBS News to discuss her reporting and completed a production internship with CNN's The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer.

Amit Kumar
Amit joined Insurance Insider US in January 2021 after spending 20 years in sell-side equity research covering commercial, personal, specialty insurers and Bermuda reinsurers.
Before Insurance Insider US, he was at Buckingham Research for three years.
Amit started at Dowling & Partners in 2000, subsequently moving to Fox-Pitt Kelton in 2005, later acquired by Macquarie Capital.
Amit has won several awards, including Starmine/Thomson Reuters, and has been a member of top-ranked teams.
Amit holds one MBA from Barney School of Business at the University of Hartford, another MBA from Symbiosis Institute of International Business in India, and a B.S. (Civil Eng) from BVM Engineering College from India.
