Demand for property catastrophe reinsurance is already outstripping supply, and the impact of Hurricane Ian will add further strain to the stressed market, according to Marsh McLennan CEO and president Dan Glaser.

Marsh McLennan executives said the storm hit an “already stressed” property market and that the loss, which could prove the second costliest in industry history, would lead to even further tightening.
