UK, EU forge regulatory pact as BoE ‘clamps down on Brexit moves’

The UK and EU have agreed terms of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on post-Brexit financial services regulation, a prerequisite for future discussions around equivalence decisions.

The UK government said late on Friday that “technical discussions” had now concluded around the MoU, which creates a framework for voluntary regulatory co-operation between the UK and EU.
