US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has urged the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) to ensure its new insurance global capital framework will “recognise and accommodate" the various approaches to solvency regulation that exist within jurisdictions around the world, including the US state-based system.
