Fidelis denies total loss in AerCap court battle

Fidelis has lodged its defence in a major court case between aircraft lessor AerCap and its insurers over planes stranded in Russia, in which it has denied the stranding represents a total loss.

AerCap, the world’s largest aviation lessor, is suing its all-risk insurers for $3.5bn and its contingent war insurers for $1.2bn,
