Vesttoo appoints ex-Swiss Re CEO Aigrain to chair advisory board
AI-powered insurance marketplace Vesttoo has named former Swiss Re CEO Jacques Aigrain as chairman of its advisory board, to further its aim of bridging the gap between carriers and institutional investors.
Aigrain brings more than 30 years’ insurance experience to the business, including a 25-year spell at Swiss Re, latterly as CEO, a role he left in 2009.
He has held a slew of advisory positions and directorships for the likes of Warburg Pincus, WPP and the London Stock Exchange.
Vesttoo is a marketplace for life and P&C insurance-based risk transfer and investments.
Its AI-based technology facilitates risk transfer between insurers and institutional investors, providing insurance-linked investments to asset managers of all types.
Founder and CEO Yaniv Bertele said: “Jacques's extensive leadership experience spans the insurance and reinsurance sector and the capital markets, as well as corporate finance and governance.
“His expertise in these areas will be invaluable to Vesttoo, as we continue on our mission to collaborate with both the insurance and capital markets to offer capital markets investors access to a wide range of insurance risks, while providing liquidity and much needed capacity in the insurance and reinsurance sector.”
