Prior to Allied World, he was at AIG.
Bowden has also worked for Allied World for 11 years and joined the organisation from AIG.
He was instrumental in building the carrier’s distribution platform in the US and Canada as chief marketing and distribution officer.
In his new role, Bowden will lead on new product ideas and expansion opportunities.
Last month, Fairfax gave Allied World CEO Scott Carmilani a role with Fairfax Insurance, in which he will promote organic growth and collaboration across the group’s operations.
