Willis rails against Aon over contingents return

Willis Group has launched a scathing attack on Aon Corporation after the world's largest insurance broker said it would once again take contingent commissions.

In a statement, Willis said it stands alone in refusing to accept contingent commissions on its retail business, while its rival is retreating "to a troublesome and ambiguous position" on the arrangements.

The firm's CEO, Joe Plumeri, has been a vocal critic of the payments, which became the central tenet of former New York attorney general...
