Despite soft market headwinds, Willis Group boasted Q2 organic growth in commissions and fees of 4 percent, driven by 16 percent new business growth and "solid client retention", the global broker said.
The figures follow on from a reported 3 percent organic growth rate in Q1 and were driven by expansion in its global and international divisions of 7 percent and 8 percent respectively.
But the performance was partially offset by 1 percent negative organic growth in its US portfolio...
