Whittington holding out for $50mn

The asking price for Lloyd's turnkey provider Whittington is thought to be in the region of £32mn ($50mn), The Insurance Insider understands.

Singaporean parent Whittington Group is coming towards the end of an auction process for its Lloyd's managing agent, with more than a dozen interested parties whittled down to just two.

AIM-listed insurance services company Tawa is understood to be one of the two final bidders in the Aon Benfield-run auction.
