White Mountains joins Lloyd’s queue for 2011 start

Bermuda domiciled (re)insurance group White Mountains is also weighing up the benefits of joining the Lloyd's pack, The Insurance Insider can reveal.

Reinsurance subsidiary, White Mountains Re, recently revealed that it is considering setting up a syndicate for a possible launch on 1 January 2011.

In its 18 May Q1 investor conference call last month, Allan Waters, president and CEO of the reinsurance unit said it was considering the new underwriting venue to supplement its existing platforms.
