Severe weather events in the US last month look set to cost insurers over $1.9bn, Aon Benfield's Impact Forecasting unit said in a monthly report, citing a variety of sources.
These losses are on top of claims from wildfire outbreaks in Colorado, which Impact Forecasting did not issue an estimate for.
