US CEOs earn less in 2011
Travelers' CEO Jay Fishman received the highest salary of any US insurance executive last year, according to data for a group of specialty (re)insurers tracked by The Insurance Insider.
Fishman's total remuneration came to $16.5mn in 2011, just edging out Chubb's John Finnegan with $15.7mn, Bill Berkley with $15.2mn and American International Group (AIG)'s Robert Benmosche, who came in fourth at just under $14mn.
