Disgraced financier Allen Stanford, who is awaiting a criminal trial in 2011 for allegedly orchestrating a $7bn Ponzi scheme, has applied for his fourth set of new attorneys in a year.
Stanford is asking to now be represented by Houston-based attorneys Michael Essmyer and Bob Bennett, who are reported to be planning to file a motion to see Stanford's trial moved out of Houston to a new jurisdiction.
