US commercial P&C insurance rate rises were steady at 5 percent on average in September, according to the latest market barometer from MarketScout.
The firm's monthly study found composite rate for the sector matched the plus 5 percent year-on-year rise recorded for August 2012.
Buying power appears to have won out for insureds, with small and medium accounts paying higher rate increases than large and so-called jumbo accounts.
