Ryan makes first acquisition
R-T Specialty, the wholesale arm of Pat Ryan's broking
start-up, has made its first acquisition, picking up
California-based wholesaler Chartwell Independent Insurance
Brokers.
The former Aon founder has also secured the services of Chartwell
CEO Ben Beazley, brother of Beazley plc founder Andrew.
Since it emerged that the retired Aon founder was to make a
sensational return to the industry in his eighth decade, Ryan has
been making waves in the sector with a series of high-profile
hires.
